Cameron J. Abbott, Director of Information Technologies

Cameron Abbott has nearly 20 years of experience in electronics and information systems technology. A native of Indiana, he served in the US ARMY with the 101st Airborne Division and received an Associates Degree in Electronics Technology from Indiana Vocational Technical College.

 

He became Electronics Supervisor for the IU School of Optometry, where he first began working with personal computers. Later, he joined IU's University Computing Services as a Digital Engineer, which allowed him to work exclusively with information systems.

 

An offer from the FileNet Corporation provided the opportunity to work with multi-million dollar unix database imaging and robotics systems for clients like NWSC, Blue Cross, and Bank One. He returned as a Network Systems Engineer with the IU Financial Management Support until joining ARTI (now IURTC) in August of 1997.
