- Joe Trebley is the Head of Startup Support and Promotion at the Indiana University Research and Technology Corporation. He is responsible for assisting Indiana University faculty, staff and students form and run startup companies. Specifically, he works with university inventors to form a new entity and find initial funding through early stage resources like the SBIR/STTR programs as well as other funding sources. The SpinUp Program serves at the catalyst to help university inventors launch their ideas into the marketplace through the formation and development of new high tech companies.
Joe brings a wealth of university licensing and startup experience to IURTC. He worked at the Purdue Research Foundation managing a wide range of portfolios in the medical device, software, pharmaceutical, agriculture, and chemical disciplines. Joe also worked as a Principle within the venture capital group In-Vivo Ventures and served as Vice President of Research and Development for Kylin Therapeutics.
Joe was born and raised in Indiana where he earned his A.B. from Wabash College in chemistry and received his Ph.D. from Purdue University in Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology.
