Contact Marie Kerbeshian, Vice President for Technology Commercialization, for more information about sharing your research discovery with the world.
Begin the technology commercialization process by completing an Invention Disclosure Form that will be reviewed by IURTC and copied to the chair of your department, the dean of your school or college, and the chancellor or provost at your campus.
This disclosure will describe your invention or discovery, any sponsors of your research, the names of any collaborators and their university affiliations, and the names of the lab(s) where the original work was conducted. The information you provide will enable your IURTC technology manager to determine what legal protections are needed, if any, as well as to begin targeting potential business partners.
If you are not certain whether your discovery qualifies as an invention or whether your research has reached the point where its commercial application is clear, we invite you to contact one of our technology managers.
It's important to talk to IURTC early in the process.
