FEATURES
The analysis of samples utilizing analytical chemistry techniques frequently requires the samples to be subjected to a number of successive techniques in order to obtain the desired information. This is particularly true when the sample to be analyzed included biological molecules such as proteins or polypeptides. For example, it is common subject a biological sample to a chromatograph technique in order to separate the molecules in the sample. Thereafter, each fraction can be subjected to a subsequent analytical technique such as mass spectrometry in order to obtain additional information.

The present invention is a device for transferring samples onto substrates.

BENEFITS
The device can place samples on a substrate that may be subsequently used in matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization mass spectroscopy (MALDI MS).
